Misc Playing Games Online with Soft-Modded

Hey;

I was wondering if you have a soft-modded Wii, can u play games online with other people without negative results? In other words, if u have a soft-modded Wii, will there be any negative results if you play any game online or connect via WiFi (ie. lie in "Rock Band 2")?
