hi is there somthing you can download to turn your ds into a phone i have had svip but that was rubish im thinking more of texting is there anything like it that you can text for free on

There's an Instant Messaging program called Beup, it's basically MSN for the DS.

You need to be connected to a WiFi hotspot or router for it to work.

To text on a DS, use the internet and use AIM. You can text with that.
