I finally updated my Switch to 9.0.1 and PFBA 3.4 works just fine, controls work perfectly for me. I have no clue why people are reporting that it doesn't work on new firmware. It works just fine.

Here's where I got it:

They must be using sxos, maybe. Anyway, the update "may" comes today!

Hi,

Finally, here is the "pFBN 4.0" update (still need to change some paths to reflect the new name...).

Please note that new bugs may have been added (there's no "beta test"..), and console games will be added back later. Be sure to read the release page for changes.

I hope it will work fine and enjoy the changes, a lot of time have been put in this :)

PS: if you have a server or something like this, please make a mirror of screeshots and video snaps !

Can you please say me which games are not working? I didn't spot one yet. Are you using a correct romset? (https://github.com/libretro/FBNeo/blob/master/dats/FinalBurn Neo (ClrMame Pro XML, Arcade only).dat)

From my romset, I have tried a handful, the following as an example dont work
Some exit straight away with error (ie the loading bar doesnt appear) and some load then exit (without the game starting at all).
They all exit with the following error: "DRIVER INIT FAILED":

Rainbow Islands
Super Man (Taito)
Opweration Wolf (Taito)
Street Fighter Alpha 2
Street Fighter Alpha 3

Most of the later Street Fighter games (post SFII hyper fighting)
Vampire Hunter 2
Vampire Savior (1 and 2)

X-MEN Vs Streetfighter
Marvel Vs games

(they didnt work on the previous pfba 3.4 on switch as well, for me )

My rom set is most likely rubbish, can you confirm?

If it it dodgy romset could you change the error message to something like "Please check your romset mismatch CRC"?

Again , great work thank you

Yes, your roms are incorrect. There's tutorials online on how to use clrmamepro to check your roms against fbneo database i linked earlier.

@cpasjuste Thanks for the work, althouhg the emulation configs for some games were changed/deleted, everything looks good so far. Are there any plans to support dip switches for older games? Maybe not the most obscure ones, but it's kinda sad that options can't be changed for most CPS1 games, as well as classic Sega/SNK games from the 80s and early 90s.

Yes sorry, I never implemented a clean config update routine, so for now they are overwritten when a new version come.
Else dip switch will be worked on someday, but it will probably be in months (last time I looked it was a bit obscure, there's stuff which give me more fun I want to do before :) ).

By the way, on another side, if there is some retroarch shaders you guys think are really missing to you, I can take a look.

Is it hypothetically possible for games to have run in fbalpha and not running anymore on fbneo? I have some games like "quartet", "opaopa", "bionicc" (Bionic Commando) and "boxyboy" that do not run anymore, but maybe those roms are weird and not supported? They all say that the driver fails or something :)

Are you sure of your romset? If yes, then theres maybe a problem on my side. I'll take a look tomorrow.
