Is there to have atmosphere always on the switch or do I have to connect my switch to my pc and inject the payload every time?

There is no permanent cfw

If yours is unpatched go with Trinket not Sx Core since afaik it is more expensive.
If you have patched then the only option is SX CORE.

There is in work a way to permanently install hekate payload to bootloader for Mariko units, so probly it can be used also on Erista in the future. Issue with this method is that it will be deleted each time sysmmc will be updated.

Well with a modchip yes but as the firmware increases there would need to be special conditions made for you to continue to use CFW on the latest firmware.

If you downgrade to a version that is exploitable with Fusee Geele, you don't need to always be in RMC mode. Of course, you should use EmuMCC to have a more updated firmware for the games that require it, so it will be more cumbersome.

Perhaps the only thing that comes close to a permanent CFW is having a Dongle for RMC Mode and for Payload injection.

Downgrading is only an option if your fuse count is compatible, otherwise you need a dongle, etc. to boot via RCM mode anyway.

For Unpatched/Fusee Gelee exploit firmware doesn't matter.

Well yes, you are right. You are required to start CFW to bypass the fuse check when downgrading.

The fuse check is done every time you boot into OFW.

To my knowledge, there’s no real reason to downgrade exploit wise, as is at least, unless you can boot into OFW without RCM, since then you might as well just use the latter.

excuse me , the trinket means RCM X86 right? if it is, that modchip depend on RCM exploit, can support atmosphere and sxos both. more cheaper as well.

switch's hardware exploit equals permanent hackable. don't update Hos firmware both emunand and sysnand until cfw's announced to support.

Yes, it depends on RCM and it's not a new exploit itself, you can look here for more info.

No because that is how the exploit works. We lack the key required to sign CFW or an untethered coldboot exploit which may be on a lower firmware version in the future.

If re-injecting CFW ends up being a pain, and you aren't always around your PC, might I recommend something along the lines of an RCM Loader? These things are pretty nifty.

I believe you can also use an Android phone to inject a payload, too?

I think that in these situations it is appreciated that the Auto_RMC exists. Due to wear and tear on the right lane of the Switch when inserting a Clip to activate it. Although that has not prevented many Type C data cables from ending up damaged. Luckily the USB-C port of the Switch has not presented discomfort.

yes you can, sx has their own payload launcher. There's another app called rekado. Itll do sx, hekate, fusee-primary, and reinx. Im not entirely sure bout launching other payloads like Lockpick_rcm, etc.

Rekado supports all of the same payloads any other launcher would support.
