Yup, if you have a fat or a certain model of the slim you can put Temp CFW on firmware up to 4.89. Not certain on the others, seems like putting HFW seems to be easy

Let see all phat model and slim model 20xx, 21xx, and some 25xx model can be downgraded to 3.56 to install CFW.

Permanent CFW is possible for PS3s capable of, at minimum, OFW 3.56 and below (use MinVerChk to see the minimum). The site (ps3xploit.me) for installing CFW has not completed renovation yet. The website's Flash Writer will support OFW 4.80-4.89 once completed. These are the present options:

1. PS3 on OFW 3.56 and below
2. NOR/NAND writer capable of downgrading to 3.56 (e.g., E3 Flasher)
3. Russian 'copy' of ps3xploit.me website that can write to NOR/NAND (pspx.ru/forum/bgtoolset). Supports OFW 4.80-4.89, possible brick on 4.89. (I jailbroke 3 out of 3 successfully; each had a clean 4.89 install with SSD.)

Quick question; can someone direct me to jailbreak my PS3 fat 4.53 dual usb (in front). Looks like the online jailbreak is no longer working.

i got it figured out even though ps3xploit.com isnt up and running. I used furever.me/bgtoolset/ and that worked perfectly.
