Recently, two specks appeared on my 3ds screen, each about a pixel in size. When I attempted to wipe them off, I didn't even feel them and they didn't budge. Are these just dead pixels? It feels to me like they are underneath my screen. Tech wipes did not help. Is this a home repair? how much would it cost to get fixed? And would a screen replacement be necessary? Below are two images of the issue in action.

Once you see these, i'm sure you can understand how annoying this could get.

Those look like dust specks that were knocked loose from the side and fell into the center area. The only way to clean them off is careful disassembly, cleaning with [isopropyl rubbing alcohol | white coffee paper (streak free) | scotch low stick magic tape | mini usb vacuum attached to plastic coffee straw -or- canned air spray (sucking dust is better than blowing) ], and reassembly. Use the hot shower pseudo clean room trick for less floating dust in the open air.
