Payload is the code that is loaded by any of these types of devices once they have gained execution. This is how every exploit works. It crashes an application/game/whatever in a certain way, so that it can run some code that wouldn't normally run otherwise. This code is the payload. You really don't need to worry about it, and every single PSJailbreak clone has a payload.
