Good work, aquilino.
This kind of reminds me of how BL .3 Gamma would temporarily patch the system menu.
Only question:
Should I update via Ninty to 4.0 and run this (I've got rev7 installed), and run this, or do you have another idea?

i feeling little redard now. to use this i need TWhack HBC and run this ? or can it be run from sd card Wii 4.0e ?

Hey everyone great job on everything going for the new FW 4.0
big noob here with just acouple questions hope someone can help me out to clear this up for me?

1. Do i install this after i update from ninty or use another method to update then install patcher?
2. Will this work on a ntsc-U wii?
3. all pirated wiiware and vc titles can be played from SD card?
4. Everytime you want to play a backedup game you need to run this patcher?

thanks

Aw, darn. When I saw region free I was hoping that it meant region free channels as well. I've a copy of Rondo of Blood I bought from the Japanese Shop Channel before they locked the Shop regions down more heavily, and I'd love to play it. Just the same, thanks for making something like this. I guess I can report it working ok on a US system, though I don't have anything except that channel to test with really. Should you add this to the hacks, I can certainly test it for you.

And before anyone says, WiiEngine. Yes, I know.

aquilino: Can you post the original values for your offsetts?
I want to patch them into my Sysmenu but I'm not sure if I used the right offset.
I used 0x81330000 as offsett and so thefirst original value for Update check would be 7D 08 20 10 and the second 7C E7 03 96, right?

yes, they can be blocked, no it's not permanent. But you can patch them into your NAND with a hex editor what I'm trying ta the moment

for update check

Code:
offset=8137EE54
original value=2C030000

offset=8137EE58
original value=40820020

add values region free channels

QUOTE[REGION FREE CHANNELS]
version=418
offset=0x8152D67C
value=0x38000001
offset=0x813B60F0
value=0x48000028

I'm still with 3.2E
Is there anything so lovely easy like this to make backups loadable from disc channel?!

so you are trying to make it permenant? it would be lovely as it would make sure cioscorps would stay installed in system menu 4.0. then the only thing missing is preloader for 4.0 or bootmii

Ok, I got the Updateblocker permanent into my Sysmenu. Can't share the files though because of the rules but will write a short howto tommorrow.
