I totally agree.
it's worth the risk.
it's such a minor chance, particularly if you've read all the tutorials, and all...
I'd say .07%
I thought it was worth it, so I got my brand new DSL home launch day, and risked the $199AUD on flashing it straight away.

Well, I tried putting FLASHME in the root of my G6, and nothing. Nothing even happens when I hold down xyab. The screen stays black and doesn't even flash or anything. Which leads me to believe it's something more serious than a bricked system. How badly life sucks for me. Oh well. Maybe Nintendo will still repair it. Thanks for all your help and attempts.

You got the DSL on launch day.

I flashed my old Phat DS when they first made the tool that allowed you to run a few ds roms from your GBA flashcard. I had the old passme, I download flashme with no idea what it did. Then I flashed the ds. Thinking about it at the time it was a crazy thing to do. At that time flashme had never been mentioned on GBATemp.
