so i grabbed some paints today. decided to go with a glossy black and flat yellow. thinned them out with water to about 60% paint, 40% water. seems like water is a balls thinner with tamiya paints. oh well. i just spent an hour in a closed off room with only one window with 5 pots a paint and some cement glue. feeling pretty breezy right now. oh and here's a photo of the test run.

only a thigh piece.

i don't know either mang. i chose the colours based off the fast lots of black + bit of yellow looks pretty cool. i've got a feeling its going to look pretty good done, the psychoframe shows through the model a fair bit. and i'm planning to paint the entire psychofame with that yellow. and pretty much everything else that glossy black.

if it turns out like..... well it turns out like shit and i'll probably strip its paint and go over with other colours.

Water will clump/gum up Tamiya acrylics, the pigment gets f'ed up and goes out of suspension really fast, especially if done with a brush. Try using Tamiya Acrylic thinner(X-21, I think), Mr. Hobby thinner(I think this works for both acrylic and enamel) or 100% Alcohol for acrylics.

Maybe you can try looking up paint tips from this site: www.fichtenfoo.com

Looks really clumpy... Perhaps a better paint is needed?

yeah thats i've figured lol. i'll be going to pick some up tomorrow hopefully. just depends if the place i bought them from stocks the x-20a thinner. i got my paints from a freaking mr toys toyworld. if not i'll be looking for some 91% isopropyl alcohol which supposedly works as good as tamiya's thinner otherwise i think i'll be hunting down vallejo paints instead of tamiya.

GN-X showing off its Gun(s). if i put the gun standing straight next to the gn-x, its almost the same height, the gun reaches its head.

imma paint the gn-x as well. decided its going to be a coffee and cream gn-x.
