hey i have ak2 and 1gb kentiston memory card,
and i was trying to get that homebrew brower owiki or whatever to work
and it didnt and the screen went red and white
so i turn my ds off
then on,

and it said system file missing,

so i put the sd card into my computer and everything have been deleted

excpet some file with a weird symbol on it
and it says its 3,5gb which makes no sense on a 1gb card

i lost all my saves which i had no backups off
im so devostated

should i delete this file?

or will it help me recover my files?

EDIT

i the file was just giberish i had to format the card to get rid of it,
but now the download link for bliss OS is down and i have to use the other one in the meantime

If you had run chkdsk on the card, you could have recovered the contents.

Remember that for next time. This is a bug in libfat, the homebrew development library that accesses the card's FAT, a corruption of this sort will happen sometimes when running homebrew (though it seems much much less common these days than in the previous versions of libfat). Running chkdsk recovers the contents of the card because only the table of contents was corrupted, not the data itself.
