It is for sale at $50. I believe first came out in 2011, in 2020 does the system still hold up well? I know it cannot play New 3DS games (Xenoblade, FE Warriors and MH series).

Just wondering if I should grab it for:

1. Collection sake.
2. Possible homebrew stuffs.

What do you all think?

P/S: Sorry if this is the wrong forum to ask.

Edit: Doesn't come with charger, does the OG 3DS charges with New 3DS charger?

It still holds up well, but you are buying a used 9 year old system, so you should know that it can start having some issues with for example the buttons, touch screen, and the battery. Replacement parts are still available and not expensive, but you need some basic experience in working with electronics to replace those parts.

Thanks.

Figured about the quality after close to a decade but it's cheap. The adapter/charger part though, do you know if the OG 3DS is able to charge using the later models like say New 3DS or are all chargers the same?

All DSi/3DS/New3DS models use the same charger.
