I steal copy download acquire songs all the time. But I haven't figured out a solution to organize them all, add missing metadata and cover art, eliminate duplicate songs, etc.

Anyone have a plan to organize a massive song collection? (I have 32000 songs to organize!)

this is why you do it as you get new songs....

itunes has a show duplicates function. you can pick out and delete from there.

if you've got an apple store account, there's a get album artwork function which works provided you've got things tagged properly.

as for the tags... you have to do that yourself.

Should have done it earlier. Like when you got it.

if you've acquired the songs by the album, it shouldn't take too much. but if you've used limewire or something and got the songs individually... i don't know why you have 32000 songs.

I use TagScanner to add tags to songs as well as album art and it can to multiple songs at once like if they're in the same album. and Yes, tagging songs as you get them is a very good idea.
