I LOOOOOVED the old school versions, how many important subjects i missed in elementary school because i was always playing it. Though, not a fan of the newer versions lately, maybe this one will be good.

Enough said.

There's actually a $30 difference if you know what I mean

But seriously, I think they justify the extra $10 by the material cost of a rom cartridge vs. disc and the apparent value of the added 3D feature.
Except this is only game I seen where the portable cost more than the home console.
Base on what you said, shouldn't that be the case with all portable games?

Enough said.
Actually... it isn't...

Organ Trail? Sounds Bloody :creep:
Not Organ, TheDarkSeed, but Oregon. It's the state in the USA that the Oregon Trail ended in. The game is a journey down the trail back when you had to travel it in wagons from East to west. Long journey with many deaths, sicknesses, and hardships of people just trying to carve out a better life for themselves.

Good game. Hoping that the newer version is just as fun as the older version was when it first came out. :)

I beat Oregon Trail about twice. I played Oregon Trail for the Apple II series about 40 times, my best guess. I think the reason I'm guessing I lost so many of those playthroughs is more due to giving up because of losing most of my party before the halfway mark. I'm sure I'm not the only person guilty of doing that.

One of the DSiWare I've never gotten but always sort-of wanted to was the DSiWare Oregon Trail. I'm not a fan the idea of paying $8 for such a game. It hurt to spend $8 on Zenonia and I'm really hoping that game deserves its price. Wow. (I can't un-italicize without making a crap character. When I backspace over it, I revert back to Italics?)

I only managed to meet this ball-buster once in my life, back in second grade. I was really freaking proud, too, since no one else could :D
I'm glad to see it being brought over to more platforms, IMO.

so this is a life-sim/adventure game? never played it, but the micromanagement sounds fun... i wouldn't mind drab graphics if the underlying game mechanic was awesome (i played Settlers DS, but couldn't beat it because of that game-breaking bug. but i did sink a good 100+ hours into it).

Beat Oregon Trail about 2-3 times. This reminds me I need to get the iOS version too.

The one for Apple II is classic, but I prefer the Deluxe version for DOS :P
