ROM Hack ORAS Model Swapping Issues

So I'm trying to swap May's model with Serena's model in Omega Ruby. I swapped it with the model from the game and it works alright. So I imported the sleeveless shirt from XY and put it on Serena and then the model breaks whenever I enter a battle. Is it due to the XY format or is it something else?

    @SylverReZ find me ONE community that is free of drama and politics. even video games forums (like this one) have politics section. and for some reason gamers still take consoles/brands wars seriously. even as a kid i never took the console wars bait despite being a nintendo kid.
