Got my PS2 SATA Network Adapter in the mail today. After the initial set up I decided to give it a proper test run with a back up of Persona 3 FES. Got a flash of purple then my console remained frozen on a green screen. Tried the same thing with Klonoa 2. Same problem. Tried both files with HDLoader and nothing.

I haven't been able to find an answer that actually solved my problem anywhere. I also haven't really seen any tutorials on how to properly set up back ups for use with these programs, so the only thing I've been doing so far is using Winhiip to transfer my ISOs to my HDD, put hard drive in PS2, then fight with OPL for a while.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello.:)

Please check in the IN GAME Settings forthe desired Game (accessd from the Main Screen where the Game List is)
- press the TRIANGLE
- choose the FIRST Option "Mode 1" and set it to "ON" please.
- Save Changes !!

PalApplied_GameSettings.jpg

Maybe the SATA/HDD is too fast for many Games and this Option "lowers" the Speed and makes the Game better loading.

Mode 1:
Emulate the reading Performance and Behaviour of the CD/DVD drive, without ever needing to use some slow transfer mode like MWDMA mode 0. Required by buggy games that glitch
when exposed to the higher transfer rates and the synchronous nature of HDD mode.

Good Luck.
Thank you.:)

I've tried the various mode settings and NADA! I saw somewhere that file names were a part of one problem and I noticed that you got Klonoa 2 working during my last thread here. What did you name your ISO?

How did you get the Games on the HDD please ?

This "renaming Issue" that you maybe mean, has nothing to do with your Issue I think.:(
I can not get this Games to the HDD and after renaming them it works (copy to HDD and starting them also).

Which Versions of the Games do you have please ? (If you like I have a look on this Games).
Which OpenPS2 Loader Version do you have please ?

Thank you.:)

I do not know what causes you Issue with them.

- maybe the ISO´s are not ok but maybe very unlikely by PlayStation 2 ones.:D
- I do not know your OPL Version, maybe it has to do with them...:(

Sorry,I have no other Solutions for you at the Moment.

Thank you.:)

Winhiip has trouble installing certain games. I do not know if yours happen to be the ones it has trouble with since I don’t use Winhiip anymore. You might want to try your luck with HDLBATCH and see if you get different results.
Yea i noticed alexander1970 was using a different program and now that you've mentioned it i might try using another source to transfer my back ups to my hard drive. Will report in after.

Yea it was Winhiip causing the problem. Used a HDL Dump Helper and everything works now.

On another note, what theme are you using for OPL? I absolutely adore it!

Glad to see you found a solution. I think the theme he's using is the default theme that comes with any of the daily builds for OPL.

Hello.:)

Great that you find the Cause of your Issues.I am happy with you.:D

If I remember correct,it was included in this Build 1570:

https://www.ps2-home.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=83&t=3&start=150#p37689

As @rs1n absolut correctly said,it is in every new Build with the Description TA.

I wish you now Fun with your PlayStation 2 and your SATA HDD.
Please note, this Option 1 (that one which "lowers" the HDD Access Speed) is sometimes needed on Games. You will "hear" it,when it is necessary.:rofl2:

Thank you.:)
