Hacking Opinion on 3DS

I was wondering if you guys think I (or we) should update the 3DS and activate the eshop so we can get 10 + 10 free games or keep it on version 1.0xxxxx? I'm not sure how it'll be when homebrew comes out, but do you think 1.xxxxx is required or it can be with current up-to-date fw?

You might be one of the only people still on 1.xx firmware.

I think that if there is ever a hack for the 3ds, it will probably be for whatever firmware is currently available at that time. Nintendo probably wont know about any holes until they are exploited first.

that's what I am hoping but there was the iPad 2 incident =3 so, so far, you guys think i should just update and get the eshop and register?
