"We are delighted to offer iPhone and iPod touch users a great browsing experience with the Opera Mini App," said Lars Boilesen, CEO, Opera Software. “This app is another step toward Opera's goal of bringing the Web to more people in more places."
Well, after over two weeks of intense waiting, Apple has finally approved Opera Mini for the iPhone/iPod Touch. I've tried it, and its a lot faster than Safari, and has lower memory usage.

I totally love the app, heck i'm using it now in my ipt3... it's waaay faster than the safari and i love the browsers UI.

the only thing bothering me is how can i sync it to my bookmarks, kinda like xmarks. I have the my.opera thing but it won't sync in my bookmarks... this browser is amazing and all but it lacks some... well for me at least.

LOL what?? 1. The iPhone/Touch already has a built in browser, and 2. Not many people can afford the iPhone/Touch... at least where I am

So how is that bringing the web to people that haven't experienced it?

That made me LMAO

Nothing against Opera, they just should have come up with a better statement.

The speed! Oh that wonderful speed!

I just launched the app and all I'm getting is a stupid white screen.
EDIT: Okay that's fucking fast. GBAtemp loaded in like, 3 seconds.
LOL, ironically my laptop takes 7.5 seconds to COMPLETELY load GBAtemp, ads and all.
GBAtemp doesn't have ads.

What the hell, I dreamt about Opera Mini last night?

Whatever, well now that the browser gauntlet has been thrown down on the iPhone, Apple are going to be hard-pressed to improve their Safari Mobile to the standards Opera Mini presents.

Or at the very least, give us a firmware update to let us choose the default browser app now, for those of us who want to switch from Safari to Opera.

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.

Free release can have loopholes where they still make money through ads
