After ordering a Swapmagic 3.8 and downloading OPL version 0.8, I was finally ready to load my backups; except, when I tried, none of my games worked. I've tried Grand Theft Auto Vice City, Final Fantasy XII, Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, and Kingdom Hearts Re:CoM. All games were NTSC-U, save for the obvious KH2 FM. I'm unable to figure out why none of the games load.
I install the games onto my USB drive, plug it into the PS3 (CECHA01 60 gig launch), load up Swapmagic and OPL v0.8, list of games appear on the screen, but none load correctly. The screen just freezes. On v0.7, the screen turns yellow. I've heard that it could possibly be because my USB is incompatible, but nowhere can I find a list of compatible USB drives. I also think it might be the fact my PS3 has 3.55 firmware (not custom), as opposed to an earlier release.
Also, the USB drive I'm using is a PNY brand bought from Best Buy.
I would try this on an actual PS2 instead, if it weren't for the fact I'd have to pay $100 dollars for a new one being that mine broke.
Edit: Again, all my games are cleaned, and my drive is FAT32. I've tried using an NTFS format, but my PS3 couldn't recognize it.
