Hacking Onslaught WiiWare Help!

I've been having trouble loading Onslaught on my Wii. When I start it, it just leads to a black screen, and then I need to hold the power button to shut of the Wii.
I have already installed IOS 55 and 53 but I still have this problem.
Any help is appreciated!

A) What's the wad's filename / where'd you get it / what's the CRC32 (google CRCDropper if you don't know)

because:

1) What region WAD are you loading on what region WII

2) You may have a bad dump.

delete it from the Wii then use FREETHEWADS and drag and drop the wad file onto the freethewads.exe file then reinstall it using wadmanager!

!) It's a PAL wad on my North American Wii. However, I am using starfall's region free channels. AND I used an NTSC wad and it had the same results.

2) I used 3 different dumps, none worked.

you can try the rebooter option of gecoOS with region free on to boot it

What System menu are you using !?

I'm using 4.0u and region freeing it worked for me

I have the IOS files you listed installed and afaik you need at least 53 installed which you said you have!?

maby its finally time to update to 4.0 using Waninoko's updater lol unless you can live without Onslaught!

I think we have pretty much exausted all other possibility's already

and yes your apps and homebrew will be fine just make sure you read the guides on updating to 4.0 and use the 4.0 updater by Waninoko

If you have starfall installed you should be good to go .... if you have access to boot 2 then installing bootmii and backing your nand up would be a good start/idea too as a double precaution

Thanks but I have a few questions first.
Will backup loader Gamma still work, and if so will it work better or worse?
Do I need to reinstall any IOS's or CIOS's afterwards?
Will my homebrew work as well as before or will there be problems( like DVDx or homebrew games)

its perfectly safe to use FREETHEWADS it simply removes the region barrier on the WAD FILE dont effect your system functionality and to be honest it takes LESS that 2 min to have ran it AND INSTALLED IT...I would try FREETHEWADS before i posted anymore only because I would imagine you find it very very simple...As stated above its a fast drag and drop then install...In this case its just as easy as it sounds bud

The only reason why that would happen is if you are missing IOS files. Try installing IOS55.

Done that already. I'll try getting yet another dump.
P.S I updated to 4.0 with Bootmii. Still not working >_
