Homebrew Online and regions

Hello All,

I have searched a few forums looking for some information without much luck. My basic question is if I have a JAP 3ds and I region unlock it and play an English cart, will I be able to go online? and If i can will it be only according JAP servers or will the cart determine that I connect to English servers?

Long story short the easiest way to get my hands on a streamable 3ds (katsukity card) is to buy a japanese 3ds, if I use my sky3ds to region unlock it, will it go online according to the cart or the systems original region.

And totally not if the game has an update available.

Hey Exavold,

Sorry but I really want to confirm this. So you're saying that even though we have a Sky3ds, and correctly INJECTED a private header, 3ds games with "update available" will not be able to go online no matter what? We can only play games online that's the same region and with no updates available right?
