ROM Hack OK to update

Ive hacked my O3DS then converted it from A9LH to B9S, is it ok to update? Ive just switched it on for the first time in a long time. I want to keep homebrew and games etc, whats the best and safest way to update?

Update to the latest Luma or whatever your CFW is and then update your 3DS via system settings.

Im onLuma 8.1 Ive just checked but cant see any option to update

Manually update to this one
As in copy the boot.firm from the new release to your SD card, overwriting the old one.
Then proceed to update the 3DS as you normally would.

Right, I looked at my 3ds and found I had Luma updater, I went to update and launched it, However I could not update. What do I need to do to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance

I couldn't find the bootfirm. Must be looking in.the wrong place.

Download the latest Luma, extract boot.firm from the archive you downloaded and copy it to the root of your SD card.

After that, boot your 3DS and if applicable, tick the needed settings if you wish.
Then once the 3DS has booted again, update it like you normally would update it.

You're using the wrong Luma Updater. Use the one in my signature.

I've used it. Worked fine. Ok to update
