ROM Hack Official translation requests topic

"It's Noitora, and what makes you believe I'd spent 20 bucks on the peripheral just to fulfill a translation request?"

Sorry for the typo Noitora, and for my late responses. I'm not asking anyone to spend $20 on anything.

I was more interested in challenging your opinion that the game is "totally lame" just because it uses a peripheral. I can't understand why you're so hung up on the $20 investment when Mag Kid costs $20 for the game AND the peripheral, cheaper than most DS carts cost by themselves! Plenty of great games require you to buy peripherals and I think it's refreshing. In fact, I'm surprised more DS games don't have extra devices considering the amount of expandability offered by GBA slot. Plus, it could lead to more functionality and games on the homebrew front. (DSision 2 is using the device to create a large virtual desktop, http://tinycartridge.com/post/81129649/sli...on2-a-homebrew)

Think about it: When you go to an arcade, how many cabinets have generic gamepads sticking out? Now ask yourself how many games have steering wheels, light guns, flight sticks, etc.

I don't think you exactly understand.
Hacking the ROM to make a translation takes time and may be hard.
Why would somebody want to spend 20$ to do hard work?
Unless the 20$ or the peripheral itself is donated, who would want to work on it?

you could have told us your general idea of what you hope to see, rather than going like "That project sucks because it wasn't done how I wanted it"
How could i expect a person to have knowledge about hacking roms, and yet lack common sense ?
I didnt expect Noitora to do things in such a useless way.

A translation project is done to benefit the most people, not only you.
There are some people who never played any of the games in the series.

I think YOU are the one lacking common sense.
Just because you have played the other games in the series doesn't mean everybody else did.
That's lack of common sense right there.

Now I don't mind if you want to argue, but I'm pretty sure that you have never experienced something Noitora or I have experienced while ROMhacking.

It's easy to understand.
We do the translation project just for ourselves.
We then release it to the public for people who want it, not for people who will complain.

In the perspective as a ROMhacker, Noitora has a lot of common sense, and you are one of those people who would comment about a translation and post everything they don't like about it. Do you think like Noitora? Do you know what he is thinking about? Do you know what he wanted to do when he started on the translation? Do you exactly know how people like you only discourage romhackers and are the main reason why the number of translation projects are decreasing?

No?

I thought so.

First, did you even care to read the rules of this topic? Second, how do you know if this game will be easy to hack? And third, why if it will be realesd here? Think before you post!

This topic will be official place for requesting translations, all new threads will be closed so this section could be kept clean and actual projects aren't pushed to the second page by requests. Obviously, if there is a translation project already in progress please don't make a request here. If the game has a very high chance of being localized please don't make a request here. If you're not going to use the template (provided below) please don't make a request here. The last two in particular apply to all areas of the site and not just this thread. Check HERE to see whether the game you want translated is already in progress.

Now the topic is spam galore LOL! Seriously, I don't get what the hell they want man. We did all the items, the quiz that determines your identity, dungeons, and menus, its highly playable, and now these little freaks are pushing their stupid posts at me asking for a new release patch and shit, I told them to pretty much fuck off. Its a nice feeling

Game Name: Itadaki Street DS

Game info:The game plays like a monopoly game with characters from the mario bros. series and dragon quest.

Can someone translate Monster Farm DS 2 Yomigaeru Master? This game is of the monster rnachwer series and is extremley fun even though I'm not sure hopw you would create monsters on the ds. For the ps2 verions you put in disks of anything (except new style things or u get moochi) and you get monsters that have something to do with the disk. Game name
Monster Farm DS 2 Yomigaeru Master

Release date
Release: Aug 07, 2008 (JP)

Game info
The world of Monster Rancher was once a highly advanced technology-oriented civilization. The people of this society were especially skilled at genetic engineering. Using gene manipulation, they were able to develop special designer pets and store their genetic information on stone tablets known as "disks", similar to CDs. Using these disks, the artificial animals could be regenerated at special shrines.

However, war broke out between the countries of the civilization. The pets were modified into biological weapons, and the war of the monsters began. The great civilizations completely annihilated each other, leaving nothing but relics behind, and much of the world's technology was lost. The monsters were sealed into their mystery disks and hidden away.

Centuries later, as humanity was just beginning to rediscover basic technology, people found the artifacts owned by the so-called "Ancients" and attributed divine properties to them. They also discovered the lost disks and shrines. Using these, monsters were again born. Only through the power of the phoenix could the lost discs be revived back into living monsters.

Thus started a popular new sport, Monster Breeding. Breeders or trainers raised monsters for battle to compete in nation-wide tournaments to see who could raise the strongest beast.
