Hacking Official Gamecube Adapter support ?

Hi, I don't if what I am asking for is hopeless, impossible or whatever, but is it possible for Wii games to have a support for the official Gamecube adapter (Every Wii games that has a gamecube controller feature) ?
Nintendont already has it for Gamecube games, so yeah, I wonder, and if it's not possible, can someone tell me why ?

Would support for vWii Emulators (retroarch, Not64) or vWii VC games be possible somehow??

It would be possible if someone was able to use the same type of hack such as HID to VPAD
