Hacking O3ds to N3ds

I am planning on getting an n3dsxl, and I have an o3ds right now on 9.2.0. Is there anyway I can transfer the 9.2 sysnand from my o3ds to an n3ds, or are they "incompatible"?(Was thinking with a nand backup and a hardmod, maybe...)

Can't you simply clone sysnand to emunand and update emu to 10.4?
Btw New 3ds sold right now will have 10.3 or below ...possibly still with 9.9 so you can either update or downgrade to 9.2 and have emu 10.4

No you cant clone or write a nand from one system to the next. Will brick. Nand is tied to console. Get a n3ds rather soon and it will have ofw lower than 10.4. Make a hardmod or send it off and have it done before any downgrade attempt.

Will probably do this. Thinking of getting the majoras mask XL edition in mid-February.
