Hardware O3DS shoulder buttons not working?

So I have my O3DS. It's hard modded and the shoulder buttons have been working fine, up to a couple of weeks ago. They just don't work. At all.

I've tried the classic Nintendo "Blow air" trick. But it's not working, they still don't respond. Does anyone have any idea's on what I can do? I don't really want to open it up cause of the Hard mod.

Any ideas would be helpful

That's strange, but you really may not have any other choice. When you say "blow air", you're referring to high pressure or canned air right?

Actually using your mouth to blow air into the shoulder buttons.
Me and a friend both did this a lot with our broken shoulder buttons on our DSes when we were younger.

Thanks. Eventually i mustered up the balls to open the 3DS and saw the cables weren't attached. I must have knocked them out or something when it's fallen. They work fine now.
