I've been wondering if on o3ds 9.2 we have sufficient access to over clock the cpu. I'm not talking anything crazy, like obviously were not gonna be playing n3ds games, but even just a slight bump would be worlds of difference in terms of emulator performance.

That's a major bummer, because 266mhz is just laughably slow by today's standards. I'm typing this on a 1.9ghz quad core phone. It's a miracle that any emulators work at all considering that computers from the 90s had better specs than the o3ds has.

Out of curiosity, what exploits would we need to overclock?

486 DX4 and Pentium I says Hi! 75MHZ!!!! BWAHAHAHA!!!
Are you typing from the NVIDIA PotatO?

Good point.

On another note: Just unlinked sys and emunand and now none of my gba games work on rxtools... O3ds 9.2 rxtools 2.6. I tried installing the modded agb firm and nothing...

If you have linked nands: Just install gba games once.
If you have unlinked nands: You have to install the gba game in both sysnand and emunand for them to work.

no

edit: games on 3DS use clock speed to regulate gamespeed. So nah brah... also heat.
Actually they don't, I ran some tests by enabling the 3x clock speed in other games and it worked fine. Some games it increased loading time speeds, but that was about it. Pokemon still had crappy FPS even with overclock by the way.

Would overclocking on o3ds emulators help if kernel access still didn't make some emulators 100% playable? Or with kernel access homebrew, do we already use overclocking or just using other services to make it faster?

This was 3x on an N3DS, o3DS cannot overclock as far as I know.

Because nintendo did not release a nds game on the eshop yet when they do then we can
I thought nintendo discontinued vc for 3ds?

There was a game on the JPN eShop which was for NDS and added to eShop, however it was literally ported to DSiWare and re-released. Plus on top of this, TWL's NAND space is too small for most games so even if they did somehow manage to get around the SPI save checks you couldn't put them anywhere. And SD is disabled during DSiWare.

Couldn't we make something akin to nintendont?
