Hacking ntrboot vs hardmod vs flashcart

Hi,

I have Nintendo 3dxl 11.6.0 which I want to play cia ROMS downloaded. There are three ways I found from the guide

1. ntrboot requirs FLASHCARD like sky3ds not REGULAR SD card
2. Hardmod says requires SOLDERING. Is it physical soldering with wire???
3. Flashcart like sky3ds

As you see all methods are not simple. What should I do? Should I DOWNGRADE to lower version and use soundhax? I don't want to buy flashcart or solder and put some wire in it.

Please help don't know Inam very confused
