Hacking Nostalgia is Freezing

I have just fought the boss at the top of the Tower of Babel.
I saved on the way back down.

The first fight after the save point causes the game to freeze.
No cheats are enabled.

Is it a corrupt rom or something I won't be able to fix?

I'm on Wood R4 v1.31

1) update to Wood R4 1.32
2)Disable soft reset

See what happens, and tell us if it keeps freezing.

readme.txt1.2. any bugreport must contain save file (except case then problem happens not far from start) and detailed description how reproduce problem. "game 'xxx' sometimes freezes" is not bug report.
