Homebrew Noob here. Help needed with leaving from rxtools

Ok guys long story short. I haven't used my 3ds and 2ds in a while. They are both currently on rxtools with menuhaxs and ctrmanager for cold boot. I tried switching to luma3ds by adding the boot file + menuhaxs file but it still auto boots to rxtools. Im not sure what to do next to get to luma3ds working. Also how would a9lh work with luma3ds

Do you have a file on the root of your SD card called auto.3dsx? If so, try renaming the boot.3dsx file from the Luma setup to auto.3dsx and replacing the one on the root of your SD card with it. (Make a backup of anything you're replacing, that way you can always backtrack if something goes wrong.) As for a9lh, it works great with Luma, you just need to follow the guide exactly without skipping anything. It takes a while to set up, so if you just want to get emuNand working again for now, try the first thing I said.
