Hacking Nokia N900 + Wii hacking

You might know that the nokia N900 is out. It's a mobile phone but with Linux as OS (Maemo 5) it got an ARM Cortex-A8 Chip (up to 1Ghz) and 32GB disc.
DeSmuME is already working on it. There's also Dr. NokNes an great working SNES Emulator.
And an app that let the wiimote connect to the N900, so you can play games or navigate through the Menu with the wiimote.
ATM I'm playing Quake3 Arena with the wiimote using the TV out of the N900

Now I'm calling all WiiDevs, that got some freetime left to develop wii related apps for the N900.

As the N900 also got an accelerometer and IR, I wonder if an app that turns my N900 to a wiimote can be developped.
(Already possible to transform the N900 in sixaxis ps3 controller)
I could also imagine an app similar to Transmitmii/Wiiload for the N900. Would be so cool to send homebrew directly from my smartphone to the wii over WLAN.

Yes Wiimote is IR. IR for sensor bar tracking. Bluetooth for communication between remote and Wii. What do you think the bit at the end of the remote is??

It wouldn't be worth it for the small amount of people who own the phone, plus it'll be outdated pretty soon.

Nokia gives out for free the Qt SDK as well as PC based simulators for some of their phones. Just download the SDK and whip up whatever you want. They are practically asking you to do it with all this stuff they make available to you.

You are wasting your time trying to get other people to do it for you. The only motivation people would have to write software for this phone and give it out for free is if they felt a need for this software. And that means that they would have the phone themselves. So, asking people to write this stuff for you is quite pointless, unless you want to give out free phones to give people a reason to write free software for it. (BTW, I need a new cell phone)

The SDK apparently supports using the accelerometers but not the bluetooth. That probably will put a damper on the wiimote idea.
