Homebrew Homebrew app Nintendont/USB Loader GX controller options

I've been trying to find recent information about wheter or not I can use my Gamecube controller to play games via Nintendont or USB Loader GX that require GBA link cables for multiplayer (such as Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles). Also, I was curious about the possibility of playing Wii games that technically don't support GC controllers (Star Wars Force unleashed, for instance).

Could you help me?

i could be wrong, but i believe that a wii game can only use the GC controller if the game supports the classic controller (eg, mario galaxies need a patch to be able to use classic controller, metroid collection for wii uses wiimote + nunchuck only, etc).

edit: GC controller would also be minus a few buttons, such as 8th button and home button
