Nintendont has been working great on my SD card. But now I'm helping a friend with a small SD card load a game with a USB drive. Whenever I select my game on the Nintendont menu, it crashes instead of loading the game. The screen goes black, and the Wii turns off (the light turns red, as a force shutdown). The drive is 16 GB, FAT32, and I have a (integrity already checked) Super Smash Bros. renamed to game.iso in the path \games\melee\game.iso.

I would appreciate any help, as I am pretty new to this stuff. Please tell me if I need to provide any additional info.

Do you know what sector size it's formatted in? If it's 4kb then reformat with preferably 32 or 64kb, or revert to an older version. Otherwise it's a good chance that the drive just isn't supported.
For (probably much better) more information try the Nintendont thread in the Wii U section (still applies to Wii)

Thanks for the reply. I have tried formatting in both 32 and 64 kb. Same error. I tried with another USB drive, but that one was not detected at all.

I posted in the Wii U Nintendont thread, hopefully I can get some help there.
