Hacking nintendogs and my DS mic

so i have nintendogs, and i got a new dog and it says "say the name of your dog" so i say it and it says that it doesn't hear anything, the dog just shows 3 orange question marks. so i thought something was wrong with my ds mic, so i went out and bought that mic add on that u plug in, that headset, and he still doesn't respond, so i tried it on my cousans DS and he responds perfectly, can someone please help me?

You may just have a faulty microphone or faulty part of the DS that handles microphones in general.

I'd suggest getting electroplankton (SEPLLLIINNG!) it has the voice recording one. It's how we test microphones in the shop where I work. It's easier to tell then with something like nintendogs.

Try lowering your voice. I'd say that at least 7 out of 10 people talk too loud into the microphone when they get to this part. Relax, don't have the DS or your newly purchased microphone too close to you, and speak using a normal (and clear) tone.

I've also encountered this problem. I found that with the retail Nintendogs on my DS it worked fine; however, on my r4 it almost never responds. I also get a lot of screw ups in Brain Age 1 & 2.
