Hi there,
I bought a second-hand "faulty" Nintendo Switch which seems to be moddable (unpatched) but otherwise runs Nintendo stock software. I do not know if it was ever modded or had custom firmware installed on it.
The device seems to work perfectly: screen, sound, controls, WiFi, all work just fine. However, whenever any title is launched a white screen appears and the system fails to do anything else no matter how long it is left on. Sometimes instead of a white screen an error will appear and the device will restart. This happens even with stock system applications.
I have alredy tried to rebuild the stock OS by going into the recovery menu. I have not tried sending any payload however, for fear the problem is somewhere else.
Does anyone have any ideas or solutions? It seems to be a sofware, rather than a hardware problem. Could the previous owner have run homebrew on it and somehow managed to screw it up?
