I know you can use the Save Data Cloud to backup/restore data with Nintendo's paid service, but how do you backup/restore data to an inserted microSD card?

I'm asking in case my Switch ever gets banned from going online for utilizing homebrew. I'd want to transfer my saved data over to a new Switch, and I can't use Nintendo's Save Data Cloud service because I'd have to be able to go online.

Is there any homebrew that backups saved data to a microSD card in a clean, hack-free format that allows it to be restored on a new (hack/homebrew free) Switch? The saved data that was transferred over shouldn't have anything on it that would get the new Switch banned.

Checkpoint does what you want.

Edit: Though to restore it onto a new switch you would have to run checkpoint again which could flag your switch for running homebrew and thus possibly a ban... :P

The problem is that any Switch bought after June 2018 can't be exploited for hacks. I'd buy a new Switch after my old one would get banned, and it will be a new one.

Well not -yet- anyway, I'm sure they will find a way since the Tegra is still exploitable I believe. You can still find new Switches that can be exploited in the box, there are a ton of units out there, otherwise you could pick up a gently used one maybe... other then that, no there won't be a way to re-import the saves unsigned to a different console.

Well, I'm already familiar with the idea of completely cutting my Switch off from the internet and any hotspots, then hacking the Switch, backing up the NAND, doing any offline hacking, then restoring the clean NAND before ever going back online. I suppose if I backed up my saves to the cloud after hacking AND with my restored, clean NAND, as soon as possible, I'll be fine.
