Backstory, I busted my nintendo switch using a 3rd party dock while forgetting that I never use usb-PD with it.

I determined that the PI3USB chip was busted (shorted caps around it) and so I removed it. The switch wouldn't turn on before removing even with a full battery but now it turns on with the PI3USB removed. I replaced the PI3USB with a brand new chip and the switch still works in handheld but docking it just turns off the display and no picture on the tv. The usb ports on the dock seem to be working as indicated by my pro-controller connecting over usb and my usb ethernet adapter. Any ideas? I also had to replace one of the chokes connected to the PI3USB as it showed no continuity (the one on SBU1 and SBU2).

Note: This is my first time using a hot air station so my chip may not be soldered down correctly but I'm almost positive I got it right.
Anything else I should check?

check continuity for the pin of the p13usb and check your usb-c connector because its usually the cause of a failing p13usb chip aside from 3rd party docks

USB-C connector looks fine visually. Not sure exactly how to do the pin continuity check as I would mostly be just checking to see if a trace was blown after the pads. The PI3USB is getting 3.3V btw.

you should find those values checking the pins with a tester on continuity mode.flip the board and also test the 2nd row

Thanks for the response, turns out it was just my lack of experience with soldering using the hot air gun and not using enough solder paste. I re-flowed the PI3USB and added some more paste and all works now!
