Hacking Nintendo ds lite mic problem

I am having a odd problem as of late where when a game needs to use the mic the game will freeze and go to two black screens. This includes if i try and do a mic test in a game such as Mario Party ds. I am using a G6 lite with all the latest stuff (4.8 and U disk manager 5). Anyone else had this problem or have any advice for me. Any and all is much appreciated.
