Hacking nintendo ds lite help

I have to press real hard on the touch screen in order to get it to recognize it. Do I have to replace the digitizer or the whole screen. The screen still works good.

Also in any tutorial out there for soldering the power connector. i have another one that needs the pug connector replace.
