Hacking Nintendo 3ds XL System Version Help!!!

Hello, with the arrival of the Gateway card I'm considering buying a nintendo 3ds XL (european region). Does anyone know if the system version of these is <4.5? Also if anyone knows where to buy one in Europe which has this version, let me know please!

If you read thread names not just on the first page, but on the second page too, you'll find "Where to get a firmware 4.5 or below 3DS XL?" and "which games come bundled with update 4.5.0?" threads.
Edit: you'll need second thread to update your 3DS to FW 4.5.0, since Gateway can't update system FW from SD card.

im in europe from france
i just got brand new white 3DS XL from amazon.fr and i was on 4.4 ... then i update to 4.5 with animal crossing
i guess if you buy a new white now u safe to get one lower to 5.1
then my advice is to dump your firmware ... 4.4 or 4.5 .......
