Gaming Nintendo 2DS XL Help

So i'm sorry if this is in the wrong section i just logged in to gbatemp and this is the first time i'm using the website.

But now i'm going to tell you my question. So I've recently got a 2DS XL to remember my childhood with New SMB DS on the DS. I'm currently on vaccation so getting the DS Cartridge for New SMB DS is not an option so i went to the internet and found DSIMenu++. The problem is that all tutorials ive found online have incomplete guides or a different looking micro sd card than i have. Ive tried looking around on the internet for the past hour but haven't found anything helpful. I found the thread on GBATemp about DSIMenu++ installation guide but it wasn't matching with my Micro SD card.

Does anyone have a full tutorial on how to get New SMB DS on 2DS XL using DSIMenu++ if you have please comment on the thread!

So Ive looked some further into it and found that his just had alot of roms and stuff on it. My problem is that when i put the cia files in the start page of the SD card it doesn't show up in the menu when i boot the 2DS.

If I understand your message correctly, you're not installing the .cia files or you're not installing the launcher.

i have also installed on a new 2ds xl
followed all the instuctions ,
but after installation of both CIAs there is now icon of the DSIMenu++ on home screen

what am i missing ?

You do have a CFW right? If not, you have to get that first from this link: 3ds.hacks.guide

You gotta install the cias with FBI. Go into SD, choose the cias and install them. Be sure to have installed the launcher cia as well. Make sure you have the _nds folder and the boot.nds on your sd card, and put the roms in a folder you can find them. If you are using luma3ds, enable game patching by holding select during boot to bring the luma configuration menu and checking

Launch dsimenu and navigate into the folder where the ds roms are, and choose SMB (I think this is the whole process, check with robz8’s guide and make sure i’ve not missed anything)
