Ok, I'm new to this and have a lot of questions
I've just bought a DS Lite and want to play games/movies/music on it for long car journeys.
Can anyone out there give me some ideas as to what pieces of hardware I need to purchase. I've checked out the forums and noted R4 and M3 cards, I know these allow me to run applications that do not normally exist on the DS.
Thanking you all in advance
SP

Yeah the R4/M3 Simply is probably the best thing on the market right now. You won't have any problems with homebrew because all homebrew/apps nowadays support DLDI which is basically a patching tool so games can run on most major flash carts including the R4/M3 Simply (link).

So R4 is about the best card I can get, that sounds great.
What sort of software/hardware will I need to download and play movies?

I am definitely getting comicbookDS, are there any more comics out their apart from the Heroes graphic novels.
Thanks
Seth

As for hardware you will need a ds naturally, the r4 and a micro sd card to insert into the r4 and to store the stuff.

As for software, for movies you will need moonshell (easy install) but remember that this does not support direct raw pc video formats. Such as .avi, .mpg etc due to hardware limitations. So you will have to convert them to .dpg, for the ds to handle. You can either use dpgenc or batchdpg (there's a whole stickied thread about batchdpg for all your info) to convert manually or you can find different sites which provide .dpg files directly.
