hi all
So just got my switch and i want to put cfw so i can play backup games
I have been doing some research and reading but a couple questions

Why choose atmosphere over reinx ?
Apps like homebrew app store if inaccess from switch wont i get banned?
Why do people want to install xci games over nsp?

Also which guide is better to follow from the two

The sd setup oke on nh guide?


Also do i do a nand backup first or? As the nh website shows how to inject payload etc then nand backup

Simply put:

XCI = Cartridge dumps (only SX OS supports mounting XCI.)
NSP = Eshop games

You can only "install" xci's using tinfoil (another installer) on atmosphere afaik, or convert them. You can't "mount" them (copy and paste, nothing more) and run it directly off an sd card that way. SX OS not only allows that, but it also allows you to mount and run XCI games off a large USB storage device when connected to the Switch's dock, which means you can have terabytes worth of games ready to play.

I don't use any appstore that you speak of so I don't know about that.

If you want to use HB AppStore, you should at least use a proxy to block Nintendo servers. 90DNS does the job for you.

You don’t have an advantage if you use XCI rather than NSP with atmosphere. Only SX OS allows to mount them. All other CFW can only install XCIs. Therefore you can go right away for NSPs.
