Yup, a neat thing of the 360 (and of Windows Phone) compared to all of their competitors is that external storage works almost exactly like internal, even more so since the last... uh, maybe 6 updates, where you can use FAT16/32 on external for programs and saves instead of FATX (which in turn comes from some late 2000s update that removed the monopoly on memory units)
I'll defiantly figure it out but I did find the content folder thankfully. I can't wait till we get more updates so more retail and some XBLA games work for BadUpdate. But just exploring the file structures it's going to be so much easier than the PS3 and even the Wii.

All .xex files must be patched if there is more than one. Also, you can extract XBLA games to a folder, patch the .xex files and they should boot. So far I have only tried Sonic Adventure 2 after first using XM360 on it then doing the said method.

First patch the game if needed to unlock it, then extract it to a folder and use the xextool to patch all .xex files and it should boot extracted from a folder.
I don't think you need to patch XBLA games but defiantly retail games. Snoopy Flying Ace keeps showing me an error I have to install the game. Altered Beast works fine and I don't think I had to patch anything.

If anyone figures out how to get original XBox games running from USB or HDD with the hacked emulator please let me know.

Is anyone still having issues with retail games after using XEXtool? Like it's successful but Forza Horizon gives me a dirty disc error,Naruto Rise of a Ninja freezes after the Ubisoft logo.

Okay I just had to do this for all XEX files in the folder so Forza Horizon is working. Tried it for Naruto Rise of a Ninja but it's still freezing. Also WWE 2007 and Back to the future work but I can't copy the game to the internal HDD for some reason. Also Achievements make no sound on Aurora but do make a sound when running games from the dashboard.

I put a non original hdd properly formatted inside console and it's not detected after hack , aurora cannot detect internal hdd nor internal memory is this normal?

So is playing backups possible now?
XBLA games all work except Snoopy Flying Ace. Retail games mostly work if you use xextool on ALL of the XEX files.

Format it to Fat32

Is there any chance at all to flash the nand with this exploit? Since its possible to dump the nand
I know its not possible now, but are there anything stoping it from being developed

Where did you get that information from?
I don't know for sure but I see no reason why it shouldn't work.
The developers of FreeMyXe even warn users to not write to the NAND.
They wouldn't say it, if it wasn't possible 🤔

Problem I see is that it is using the Nand to run the x360/ dashboard, so how could you flash it (rewrite it) while its being used. Traditional way to flash the x360 Nand is when the console is not running.

Well, Simple 360 NAND Flasher is able to write to the NAND and it has to be launched from the dashboard 🤔
If that realy doesn't work, you can also use XellLaunch and start XeLL, this should definitely work.

"Although NAND can’t perform read and write simultaneously, it can accomplish this at a system level using a method called shadowing, which has been used on PCs for years by loading the BIOS from the slower ROM into the higher-speed RAM." https://www.edn.com/flash-memory-10...from the slower ROM into the higher-speed RAM.
But yea don't know if this possible, would be cool, but doubt it.

It works, I'm sure I did it back in the JTAG/RGH days.
Here is a video about it.

If it doesn't work, it must be a limitation from the whole Bad Update/FreeMyXe combo but I wouldn't know what that would cause.

A brick probably.
I meant the whole Bad Update/ FreeMyXe eco system 😅
If that stops writing to the NAND, I wouldn't know what causes it.
But you are right, if you don't know what you are doing you are bricking your system.
There is also no reason to do so, if I'm not mistaken 🤔
One could use it to read/write the NAND to perform the RGH setup ...

Makes me wonder if using this exploit, someone has taken their read Nand using 360NandFlasher, and compared it to a real device (NandX, JR programmer) read, to see if it is really reading a correct full Nand dump. All my boxes are RGH3 already, except for a Winchester, or else I'd test it.
