Is it in the wadtools folder and is it named exactly "common-key.bin" ?

This tool has worked for me in the past, but it's not working with an NTSC-J game I'm trying to dump now. The problem is that, even though it goes through the whole process and says everything worked properly, the *.WAD is not actually created.

I think the issue is that the WAD it's creating has a title of characters unsupported by my system as filenames. I'll attach the tf_debug.log here

Code:
11:11:37 AM: Debug mode enabled.
11:11:37 AM: Resetting program.
11:11:40 AM: Found folder 4E41554A.

11:11:42 AM: Folder 4E41554A has ID NAUJ.
11:11:42 AM: Judging by the 'N', this is most likely a N64 title.
11:11:42 AM: Judging by the 'J', this is probably a NTSC-J title.
11:11:42 AM: The first APP listed in the TITLE.TMD is 00000000.APP.
11:11:42 AM: According to 00000000.APP, this channel is called 'Þ0ê0ª0´0ë0Õÿÿ0'.
11:11:42 AM: 'Þ0ê0ª0´0ë0Õÿÿ0 (N64 / NTSC-J)' added to the list.

11:11:42 AM: Channel listing completed. 1 valid channels found.

11:11:45 AM: Starting dump of Þ0ê0ª0´0ë0Õÿÿ0 (N64 / NTSC-J) [4E41554A].

11:11:45 AM: Cleaning out the wad packing folder of any old files.
11:11:45 AM: Removed 00000000.APP.
11:11:45 AM: Removed 00000001.APP.
11:11:45 AM: Removed 00000002.APP.
11:11:45 AM: Removed 00000003.APP.
11:11:45 AM: Removed 00000004.APP.
11:11:45 AM: Removed 00000005.APP.
11:11:45 AM: Removed 00000006.APP.
11:11:45 AM: Removed 00000007.APP.
11:11:45 AM: Removed TITLE.CERT.
11:11:45 AM: Removed TITLE.TIK.
11:11:45 AM: Removed TITLE.TMD.
11:11:45 AM: Clean-up finished.

11:11:45 AM: Copying CERT.SYS over as TITLE.CERT.
11:11:45 AM: Found ticket file 4E41554A.TIK, copying as TITLE.TIK.
11:11:45 AM: Copying TITLE.TMD. Opening to see what APPs are required.
11:11:45 AM: Found required local file 00000000.APP, copying as 00000000.APP.

11:11:48 AM: Found required local file 00000007.APP, copying as 00000007.APP.
11:11:48 AM: All required files copied, starting wad packing.
11:11:48 AM: Executing shell command:
C:\Banner_Tools\Utilities\WAD Packing FE\wadtools\wadpacker.exe TITLE.TIK TITLE.TMD TITLE.CERT "C:\Banner_Tools\Utilities\WAD Packing FE\Þ0ê0ª0´0ë0Õÿÿ0.wad"

11:11:48 AM: Dump of Þ0ê0ª0´0ë0Õÿÿ0 (N64 / NTSC-J) completed!

Suggestions?

GhostFaceLoser and loesjoel, put this EXE in the folder with tf_wad_packer.exe and run it instead:
http://foxingworth.com/wii/tf_wad_packer_tempfix.zip

GhostFaceLoser: This'll remove the common-key.bin check. I'm almost certain you are mistaken about having it in the proper place, but this one won't check regardless and let you run it anyway. If it says that its finished and you can't find an output wad, then the wad packing tools couldn't find it either. Remember: the common-key.bin goes into the wadtools folder, not the same folder as tf_wad_pakcer.exe!

loesjoel: This will simply output all the wads as "output.wad." Until I get a better solution to the problem, this'll atleast let you dump.

Not quite sure which is faulty - the fs dumper or the wadpacker.

My tickets are screwy and fails to reinstall

That ticket doesn't appear to be bad. It may look like a bunch of garbage, but it's actually an encrypted signature.

What error are you getting exactly? The only suggestion I have is to make sure you have the latest version of my packer. Even if you think you do, try redownloading from the link in the first post again and overwriting everything.

Thanks for your reply.

I get error (Ret -4100) when trying to reinstall.

Tickets are fine with custom channels just not with bought ones.

I have the latest version of the packer - I downloaded it yesterday.

Hi folks!

Can I use this tool to backup my original/purchased WiiWare/VC titles, then format my Wii memory, then finally reinstall my channels back?
