it says the mostly recent update is 9.6.0-24U bit i am in 11.8.0-41U how did my 3DS send this notification?

Try updating anyway in System Settings or Recovery Mode if you're already on 11.8.0-41U. This should stop the nag message.

I think its just a random default message that the 3ds has stored. Stupid that ninty dont actually get those changed and fixed

@Mazlan, does your son's JPN n3DSLL have custom firmware? The Japanese 3DS firmware does not offer any other language options.

If it does not have custom firmware, first hack it with the one methods at 3ds.hacks.guide depending what version 3DS firmware it has, personal preference, and/or available resources [Example: Frogminer (free) vs NTRboot (DS flashcart)].

Then, follow this guide to change the 3DS firmware to EUR or USA:

• Region Changing

* Out of region Nintendo eShop will not work on n3DS / n3DSLL / n2DSLL.

Hi TurdPooChaeger..thank you for your advice above...when He bought the console they have done the factory reset to original state...the Ver. 11.8.0-41J now coz He updated yesterday....loosing the eShop not and issue as long he can play many game inteed buying coz very expensive...If I hack the CFW will the the interface change to English , I mean we will se all word in English?...I have read some tread but still not sure how to do and what hardware/software to have...correct me if I'm wrong:
We need :
1. SD Card ...Empty or SD from the Console He have 16GB card installed
2. R4 card ..( I do not have it now...need to buy)
3. magnet
3. CFW...whis is the best & easy to follow the installation...for VEr. 11.8.0-41J

The easiest method is NTRboot with a compatible DS flashcart and magnet. In the 3ds.hacks.guide, there's a list of carts that'll work, but the recommended one to get is the R4i Gold 3DS Plus as it has it's own NTR mode switch and does not have something called a "Time Bomb".

You can also hack the 3DS for free with Frogminer. This one requires a free to download game from Nintendo eShop, working DSi functionality, and friending someone. There's some steps involved but nothing too hard if you follow the instructions.

I had a notification similar to that also (don`t remember the numbers) I just ignored it, don`t remember if it went away by itself, etc.. but never gave it too much thought or worried about it.

Hey thank a lot for the advice..I have read related to Frogminer but having problem related to Friending someone coz the console interface in Japan language.. I have to used google translate but not that accurate and my first time doing hack a game console ...DSi working coz I tried this morning ...as for free downloding games from Nitendo eShop i have never try and what free games that I need to diwnload??...tq

Hi there...I managed to mod my Japan console with the CFW have all the FBI, Lumas and able to play download games CIA...I plan to do Region Changer for the UI Japan to English and got a question...After do the Region changer...what will not work other than the eShop??....tq
