That shouldn't be happening. Could you perhaps send a video or something?

There's only one DE version, can I use the other versions since they've got updates?
I have the EZ flash omega DE

Hey everyone, sorry for not being able to get around to updating this for a while. I want to let you all know that I'm back, however I'm having some issues with the binary size. It's simply too big to fit in the 2 MiB that I have available. At first I didn't realize that I forgotten to add the firmware image to the kernel, and now that I'm fixing that, I am at 2.2 MiB. I think I have to make a separate FW updater ROM. :(

Either that or you can use the official kernel to update your FW. Either one works. Sorry ;(

@EZ-Flash2 any reason why the FW for the DE is 930K over the 130K of the original model? I figured it should be around 300K at most.

In OMEGA kernel, The resource file is immediately adjacent to the data code section. Each time the kernel is upgraded, the location of the resource files will change and skin makers will need to update their files to correspond to the new kernel.

In DE kernel, We set a fixed 2MB size for the kernel, and the resource files are placed at the end of the kernel file. The location of the resource files will not be changed each time the kernel is upgraded, simply for the convenience of the skin makers. Your homebrew kernel can be made without this limitation.

Right, but is there any specific reason why the FPGA firmware (image.bin) is ~7x larger than the firmware update image on the original EZ-Flash Omega?

If you mean the "image.bin", it included the firmware file and the resource files, the reason was told above.
