No, because updating to 6.0 offline is currently impossible without hacks due to the fact that there are no cartridges with firmware 6.0. Also, exFAT support is supported on all fimrwares except 1.0; its just that Nintendo only allows users to download it on the latest firmware at the time.

So getting this exfat update is not possible for me, without loading OFW and trying to update? Ouch if so

Well you can get it offline via hacking (without being on firmware 6.0) but you mentioned not being banned so you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Yeah, it's one of the reasons I decided to update from 4.1 to 5.1

I updated from 4.1 to 5.1 as well, before I ever tried CFW. This is why I assumed the SDXC update would have installed.
