I agree 100%. It should have had a camera built in. No excuse not to especially when the cheaper rival machine has TWO!! I also feel that they should have shoved in GPS in there too.

More junk from Sony i presume ? Handhelds aren't Sony's thing, they should go back to making proper consoles. However i can admit that there are a number of good titles that were released for the PSP.

like 12 tittles or something, I only like ummm... 9 games so far, I'm not a big fan of RPG's so I didn't play any FF title or Jeanne D'Arc or any other RPG game.

Yep. Nintendo was working with Sony to develop a "CD-ROM add on" called SNES-CD (which became the N64 later) but Sony stabbed the big N in the back and made the PlayStation 1 instead.

Sony didn't "stab" Nintendo in the back. It was actually the other way around. Sony was finishing up the SNES CD but Nintendo met with Phillips and decided to license their characters to Phillips to test the CD market. But thats off topic. PSP GO = Ugly. Didn't buy a PSP before; sure as hell aint doing it now. Theres nothing that would make a person want to buy a GO if they already had a PSP or never had one. At least Nintendo added cameras. Not a good reason to buy the DSi but a reason none the less.

and that the PS2 was the greatest selling gaming console in history
so I guess they are good at making systems since they dominated the market with both the PS1 and PS2 (and hopefully maybe PS3 but I doubt it with the wii all the way up there, but should overtake the 360...)

Wow, I never imagined a thing as ugly as that could be produced. And WTF does the woman say? It's so SMALL? Come on, it must be twice as big as a normal PSP. Also, it must be really heavy seeing the size of the screen.

I don't understand people on the net. Just about everywhere where news about this system has been posted, I see tons of people bitching about its design and how it looks ugly. I think it looks fine. And I'll be getting one, that's for sure. Only thing that comes to mind is that it might be uncomfortable to use after a while, but no one can say anything for sure except for those who have used it, so we'll see.

QFT Anyways people judge because it isn't out and first impressions make a big difference. I judge it too but everyone does. Well it looks uncomfortable and I'm content with my phat.

Fugly design. I already have 16 gigs of Solid state storage in my PSP-2001. It's a 16 gig memory stick pro duo. What happened to the mockups of dual analogs? Come out with a portable PS2 and then we'll talk again, Sony.

yea, most of it is just pure fanboy bashing coming from the obvious area's though (theres actually very little flamming coming from current PSP owners and such)

Zune HD isn't an xbox360 portable. Not even fucking close.

It was meant as an Ipod Touch competitor. It has the ability to connect with the xbox 360s, but there isn't much information on what it can do, besides transferring music and such.


EDIT: PSP GO is Sony's way of showing their appreciation towards their psp owners. Sony just never learns. Oh well, it's not it really matters for me. I have a modded phat, and enjoying it.

Personally I loooove the new design, I always wanted to get a mylo, until I got my iPhone that is. If rumors are real and you can actually get ALL the content from the PSN Store (movies and games) and they implement game rentals, this may be a must buy.

Problem with this approach is that Sony basically sent most of the console's library to hell with this UMD-less design, it may be very very dangerous for them if the fan base has no way to actually play their UMD only copies.

EDIT: Just saw the video, this is madness, no upgraded specs no new features on the unit other than Bluetooth, Sony is releasing an update to the PSP to get a 10 years life cycle that just will not be enough in two years.

Uh...no they didn't. At least, right now we don't know what they will do with the library, which means they will likely announce the service during the E3 conference. It's not like the older PSPs can't play any of the newer content either and it's not like you are tied to just buying the GO. For Sony, it's a good move to cut cost in the long run. There's evidence that Sony was already thinking about doing this a while back. The Sony firmware includes an official ISO loader on it. It's possible that downloadable content, not just from the iPhone, but in general was the final point for them to move forward on this.

However, I'd rather have them release a PSP2, with slightly better specs and with the ability to be backwards compatible with older PSP games. This would have gave them a legitimate reason to add a secondary analog as it's making no promises with new games being backwards compatible with the older PSPs.
