Hacking New, please forgive me..

So, I know little to nothing about issues of this nature so I will try to be to the point. I have a new Wii. I am trying to download games for the Wii. I have Homebrewed my Wii as I have noted several others doing. Now how do I get games and add them to the Wii? I downloaded Riivolution, I think, but I am still stuck on what to do. I am by no means a computer guy but one should be able to read and follow instructions. Also I am running a Mac. I tried to download Super Mario but I got a notification that Mac could not open the file. Is this a Mac deal or something els.

Thank you for this. I have read through the info but I still do not know how or where to get a game off the internet onto my computer. Then I would assume you drop the game onto the SD then to the Wii? On the homebrew channel?

These forums don't encourage downloading games off the internet. You won't get any help looking for "warez" here. Or as Obi Wan Kenobi would say, "these aren't the warez you're looking for" lol

If you can get your hands on a physical disk you can rip it to a hard drive. In these forums we encourage backing up original disks. Games are cheap these days anyway.

If you can get access even temporarily to a windows machine you should use modmii to help you get started. See my signature for more info on that. Again thank you. I was unaware that getting them off the net was a deal? I have no problem buying games just have no idea where to start with something like this. I will follow the link you posted.

Sounds good. Just to be clear though the link I posted is just about getting windows apps to work on Mac, and has nothing directly to do with the wii. What you want to do is use that link to help you get ModMii up and running (see link in my signature, or it is stickied in the wii hacking forum here at the 'temp)
